Gothic Metal act Son of Sorrow are back with a new studio album, which will receive the title of “Rulers of a Dying World”.
In May 2017, Son of Sorrow inked a deal with Spanish record company Art Gates Records and through their digital label the band’s first tracks from their debut EP “Faith in Extinction” became available on platforms such as Spotify and iTunes. A year later, their new album is ready to be launched both digitally and as a CD release on the 11th May 2018. “Rulers of a Dying World” will include a remastered version of their first 4 tracks plus 6 new songs recorded in early 2018 at Jotun Studio.
Son of Sorrow’s lead singer, Alex Padina, mentioned that: “the band is thrilled to extend our working relationship with Art Gates Records, who have supported us from our very first steps. We are excited to launch our first full length album and trust that gothic metal fans in particular and metalheads in general will thoroughly enjoy the album we’ve put together”.
Son of Sorrow’s music is heavily influenced by the Gothic Metal bands from the late 90s & early 2000s, however, the band has been successful in including sounds from other styles such as gothic rock, doom and various other metal subgenres.
Preorders will be made available soon. More info at: www.artgatesrecords.com
