Bio

Rise of the Shadows is a melodic death metal band formed in 2019 in Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Spain. Their sound combines the aggression of death metal with classic metal foundations and metalcore influences, shaped by powerful riffs, melodic elements and an intense live presence.

Since their formation, Rise of the Shadows have released three records: Fire & Brimstone (2020), The Seated Existence (2022) and Emerging from Wounds (2025).

Drawing influence from bands such as In Flames, Dark Tranquillity and As Blood Runs Black, Rise of the Shadows have steadily built their reputation within the Spanish metal scene. Their growing trajectory saw them become semifinalists in the Wacken Metal Battle Spain in 2025 and finalists in the Resurrection Fest Band Contest.

In 2026, the band took another major step forward by winning the Wacken Metal Battle Spain, earning the opportunity to represent Spain at the Wacken Open Air in Germany, one of the world's most renowned metal festivals.

At the same time, Rise of the Shadows are working on their first full-length album, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band.
