Spanish melodic death metal force Rise of the Shadows joins Art Gates Records as the band enters a new chapter following their victory at the Wacken Metal Battle Spain and their recent appearance at Wacken Open Air.
Art Gates Records is proud to announce the signing of Rise of the Shadows. Formed in 2019, the band combines the aggression of death metal with classic metal foundations and metalcore influences, building their sound around powerful riffs, melodic elements and an intense live presence.
Their growing trajectory has already brought them some important milestones. In 2025, Rise of the Shadows became semifinalists in the Wacken Metal Battle Spain and finalists in the Resurrection Fest Band Contest. In 2026, they went one step further, winning the Wacken Metal Battle Spain, earning the opportunity to represent Spain at Wacken Open Air in Germany.
For Art Gates Records CEO Iván Magdalena, the band's arrival comes at a particularly exciting moment in their career:
