Cats, techno, progressive metal and some seriously fast riffs. What could possibly go wrong?

Barcelona-based modern progressive metal duo ETJM are back with Cat Dance, their latest single released via Art Gates Records.

The track brings together modern progressive metal and techno, mixing frantic rhythms, technical playing and plenty of contrasts. Featuring some of ETJM’s fastest and most complex guitar riffs to date, Cat Dance is all about movement, energy and letting loose.

The inspiration for the song came from an unexpected source: their cats. While ETJM were composing, the cats started running and playing around to the pulse of the music. That little moment of feline chaos became the perfect inspiration for a song about spontaneity, freedom and enjoying the moment.

The accompanying music video brings that playful spirit to life, adding a visual dimension to the track’s frenetic energy and chaotic attitude. The video was directed by Manuel Rubiales, with editing handled by Joel Marco.
