Casus Belli surgió durante la pandemia de Covid-19 como un proyecto entre Juan Diego Ortihuela y Carlos Álvarez (CharlieBass). Actualmente, Pacho Brea (voz) y Nitro Destruction (batería) se han unido a la banda para actuaciones en directo y la grabación de su próximo álbum.

La banda de Power metal clásico ha optado por componer en inglés para abrirse al mercado internacional y diferenciarse de ser una marca secundaria de Ankhara. Su álbum debut cuenta con colaboraciones de varios artistas, desde José Andrëa, Isra Ramos y Tete Novoa a nivel nacional, hasta Ripper Owens, Ralf Scheepers y Henning Basse internacionalmente. Ahora, buscan consolidar la formación con la experiencia de Pacho Brea y la potente batería de Nitro Destruction.

Mientras se inspiran en bandas de los años 80 y 90 como Gamma Ray, Helloween y Edguy, Casus Belli añade un sonido actual y un toque personal a su música. Carlos Álvarez (CharlieBass) y Juan Diego Ortihuela, el núcleo de la banda, crean las canciones con flexibilidad para cada artista, añadiendo naturalidad, fluidez y un alma única a cada tema.

Casus Belli emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic as a project between Juan Diego Ortihuela and Carlos Álvarez (CharlieBass). Currently, Pacho Brea (vocals) and Nitro Destruction (drums) have joined the band for live performances and the recording of their upcoming album.

The classic Power metal band has chosen to compose in English to open up to the international market and differentiate themselves from being a secondary brand to Ankhara. Their debut album features collaborations with various artists, from José Andrëa, Isra Ramos, and Tete Novoa nationally, to Ripper Owens, Ralf Scheepers, and Henning Basse internationally. Now, they aim to solidify the lineup with the experience of Pacho Brea and the powerful drumming of Nitro Destruction.

While drawing inspiration from the 80s and 90s bands like Gamma Ray, Helloween, and Edguy, Casus Belli adds a current sound and personal touch to their music. Carlos Álvarez (CharlieBass) and Juan Diego Ortihuela, the band's core, craft the songs with flexibility for each artist, adding naturalness, fluidity, and a unique soul to each track.
