Formed in 2020 in Montreal, Canada, Red Raven Chaos stands as a rising force in modern groove metal — a band forged through discipline, sacrifice, and an uncompromising vision. Founded by guitarist Oswaldo Contramaestre and bassist Samir Acosta, the project was built from the ground up through relentless dedication, shaping a mindset that continues to drive the band forward.
The definitive lineup came together with vocalist Frank Guzzi, guitarist Rob Henx, and drummer Orlando Rodríguez, forming a cohesive unit defined by technical precision, crushing rhythmic weight, and a commanding vocal presence that embodies the band’s intensity.
Their debut full-length, Chaos To My Eyes, introduced a raw and aggressive sonic identity. Its successor, Signs (2025), marked a significant evolution — sharper songwriting, deeper dynamics, and a refined production mixed and mastered by John “Doug” Douglass (Anthrax, Megadeth), elevating the band’s international reach.
With a reputation for delivering powerful live performances across Canada, Red Raven Chaos reached the final round of the Wacken Open Air Battle of the Bands in Edmonton — a milestone that underscored their competitive presence on the global metal stage.
Now working on their third studio album, the band continues to sharpen its sound — blending crushing riffs, modern groove, and dark atmosphere — solidifying their position as one of the emerging names in today’s groove metal landscape.
