Distant Past return with a reimagined version of “Speed Dealer” (2025 Version), now featuring the striking voice of new frontman Dexter Mayhem. Originally released on Solaris (2024, Art Gates Records), the track is reborn with a sharper edge and a darker pulse.

At its core, “Speed Dealer” explores addiction as a state of mind. Whether driven by velocity, substance or something deeper. The rush, the dependency, the inability to stop.

The track moves between raw intensity and altered perception. A relentless drive gives way to a psychedelic passage that blurs reality, before the lead guitar cuts back in like a lingering echo that refuses to fade.

This new version amplifies the past, pushing the song into a more immersive and unsettling territory, while showcasing the band’s evolving identity.
