Basque metalcore/alternative metal outfit Lotura are back to shackle your senses. The band has just unleashed a devastating live video for "Barkamena", a standout track from their latest acclaimed album, Terminus (released via Art Gates Records).
The video captures the blistering, untamed energy of their live performance at the iconic Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao, where the band officially presented the album. Directed by Álvaro Foronda, the footage perfectly translates the claustrophobic and intense atmosphere of the track onto the screen.
Forgiveness is a Cage, but this Performance is Unchained
Sung entirely in their native Basque language, "Barkamena" translates to "Forgiveness". However, don't expect a peaceful absolution. True to their name—Lotura meaning "Bond" or "Tie"—the band explores the suffocating ropes of unearned guilt. The lyrics paint a dark picture of forgiveness acting as an empty prison, where one is bound by chains of their own making.
