Art Gates Records proudly announces the upcoming release of “7”, the brand-new full-length album from Québec City’s modern progressive hard rock force Mr. Weather, set for worldwide release on March 13th.
Each track forms part of a narrative universe that explores the psychological and symbolic dimensions of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The cover artwork, created by Karoline Morin, visually reimagines The Last Supper through a darker allegorical lens:
“Each animal represents the sins they are associated with in texts and books. I wanted to recreate The Last Supper, but in a sins version. The ‘7’ on the door represents the beginning of the story, as the main character steps into this universe.”
Recorded, mixed and mastered in Québec City at David Lizotte Studio, and produced by Mr. Weather & David Lizotte, 7 represents the band’s most mature and cohesive work to date.
The band comments:
“It’s our best album so far. We matured a lot in our sound and composition. Since it’s a concept album, we took our time to think about everything. We put a lot of vocals to make it sound very ‘Queen-ish.’ It’s also different because for the first time, there was just one guitar for most parts — so we had to make it sound big and rich. And it worked.”

Alongside the album announcement, Mr. Weather unveil the lyric video for “The One”, a powerful chapter in the album’s conceptual arc.
The track embodies the sin of Pride. Following the events of Spiral of Fate, the main character breaks free from inner turmoil — only to become consumed by self-glorification. Convinced he built his empire alone, he demands admiration and validation wherever he goes.
“The One” captures the psychology of ego at its peak. When confidence turns into arrogance and self-belief becomes isolation.
Musically, the track blends soaring vocal layers, sharp progressive dynamics and anthemic hooks, reinforcing the album’s theatrical and emotionally immersive direction.
