MOORAH UNLEASH "THE BEAST CALLED EGO", OUT NOW

The beast has a name—and it lives within. Czech black metal entity Moorah unveil The Beast Called Ego, out today, November 6, 2026, via Art Gates Records. Across six tracks, the Prague-based band confront the contradictions of the human ego through a dark, atmospheric vision that moves between psychological conflict and apocalyptic imagery.

The path to the album unfolded through the videos for Eternal Ahasver, Left Hand of Darkness, Breitspurbahn Egotrip and Démon za krkem. The latter explores an inner voice consumed by a sinister presence, brought to the screen through a smartphone-shot video filmed at an abandoned Cold War missile base near Prague—a stark expression of the band’s DIY approach.

Arranged and produced by Count Hroozah, the album features his lyrics and compositions, with Ondřej Veselý contributing to the music of Breitspurbahn Egotrip. Jaime Gomez Arrellano handled mixing and mastering at Orgone Studios for the first four tracks, while Tonda Smrčka completed the remaining two at Seabeast Production. Cover artwork comes from Aaron Bonogofsky, with graphics by Pavel Hrůza and Cold Hands Graphix.

Founded in 2019 by Count Hroozah, Moorah have grown from a solo project into a full band with a ritualistic identity rooted in existential questions and poetic darkness. With The Beast Called Ego now revealed in full, the invitation is clear: step inside and face what stares back.
