FEELINGLESS

Hugo Markaida is the guitarist of the Spanish melodic death metal band Rise to Fall and the creator of Feelingless, a personal project born from an idea that had been developing for a long time and fully taking shape during the pandemic. Feelingless aims to use music as a tool to denounce animal cruelty and give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.

The project's debut album, Metal Against Animal Cruelty, represented a bold, socially committed statement; each track blends the raw power of metal with a clear message of solidarity.

For this ambitious album, Markaida brought together a host of internationally acclaimed artists. The guest vocalists include Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork and The Nightflight Orchestra), Christian Älvestam (Solution .45, Miseration), Ettore Rigotti and Claudio (Disarmonia Mundi), Daniel Heiman (formerly of Lost Horizon, Harmony, Heed), Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Imonolith), Rachel Aspe (Cage Fight), and Jake E (Cyhra, formerly of Amaranthe). Additional vocal contributions come from Ville Viljanen (Mors Principium Est), Mikael Sehlin (Engel, Degradead), and Dalay Tarda (from Rise to Fall).

With Feelingless, Hugo Markaida demonstrates that metal can go beyond music to become a vehicle for change, using his art to support the vital cause of animal protection.
