REASON MEETS THE STORM: LITOST COMPLETE THEIR CONCEPTUAL TRILOGY WITH "LOGOS"

LITOST bring their ambitious conceptual trilogy to its conclusion with Logos, out now via Art Gates Records. Following Ethos (2019) and Pathos (2023), the new album completes a journey inspired by Aristotle’s rhetoric, channelling its ideas through the band’s distinctive fusion of black and death metal.

At the heart of Logos lies the tension between reason and emotion, order and chaos. The album explores the human condition and the choices that shape our lives: whatever happens around us, the responsibility for choosing a path remains our own.

Musically, LITOST expand their approach with greater experimentation, fusion and technical complexity while preserving the cohesion of the trilogy.

The singles Ábrego, Tifón, Tràngol and Nimbo paved the way for the release, drawing attention to the band’s adventurous black metal fusion. These advances also featured Eloi from Vidres a la Sang on Tràngol and Albert from Perennial Isolation on Nimbo, offering different perspectives on the album before its full unveiling.

Production and recording were handled by Luis Varó at Blackstage Studio, with Javi Félez at Moontower Studios responsible for mixing and mastering. Their returning involvement maintains a consistent sonic thread across all three records.

The artwork, once again created by Pablo Ruiz Valls, embodies the cycle that drives the album. In the band’s words, it depicts “an infinite cycle that travels from the order generated by reason and logic to the chaos in which we fall prey to uncontrolled feelings.”

The trilogy is complete. Step into Logos and follow the path between reason and the storm.
