The symphonic metal band Shatterheart release today their new single “Betrayal” on all digital platforms. After the previous premiere of its music video on YouTube, this single marks the next step toward their upcoming album “Infernal Symphony”, out February 6th, 2026 via Art Gates Records.
The album’s cover artwork has been created by Gogo Melone. We asked the band about its meaning, and this is what they shared with us:
"The main character in the artwork was inspired by greek sculpture, and gothic/victorian architecture. It gives a haunting but peaceful in a way essence, it represents the timeless beauty of things. It is up to the listener to let the artwork create feelings within."
We also spoke with Shatterheart about the sonic direction of Infernal Symphony, and they described it as:
"Symphonic metal with some power metal and gothic/dark elements."
