French progressive metal outfit SPHERES has officially broken through the simulation, dropping Virtual Prison—the first single from their upcoming third album, Dyson, arriving on October 16th, 2026, via Art Gates Records.
Rather than a cold take on technology, Virtual Prison explores a deeper error in the system: how genuine human connection and love can trigger cracks in an artificial world. It tells the story of an ordinary person waking up from a digital illusion, realizing that human touch is the only thing a program can never replicate.
This first chapter of Dyson was written and performed by SPHERES with lyrics by Jonathan Lino, mixed and mastered by the renowned Chris Edrich, featuring cover art by Julien Grelet, and accompanied by a striking lyric video designed by David Lino.
