SPHERES MAP OUT THE SONIC COORDINATES OF THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM "DYSON"

30/06/2026

French cinematic progressive metallers SPHERES have officially revealed the first details of their upcoming studio album, titled Dyson, set to be released worldwide on October 16th, 2026, via Art Gates Records.

Following the geometric and conceptual landscapes built in Iono and Helios, "Dyson" expands the band's musical geometry into a darker, heavier, and mathematically precise territory. The album completes a trilogy inspired by cosmic layers, shifting the focus from Earth's atmosphere straight toward a grand, hypothetical megastructure. Musically, it acts as a complex gravity well where intricate prog structures collide with heavy, unpredictable melodies.

As Jonathan Lino explains regarding the sonic shift of this new record: "It's fucking heavier. It's fucking darker. And yes... apparently I'm an adult now. I think. I still haven't figured out humanity, though... which is probably why I wrote this album. Dyson is the natural evolution of everything I've been building with SPHERES over the years."

The album was produced by Jonathan Lino and recorded at JL Studio in Montreuil, France. For the mixing stage, the band collaborated with renowned engineer Chris Edrich (Devin Townsend, TesseracT, Leprous) to capture every dynamic layer of their sound, while the final mastering was executed by Pierrick Noel.

The visual architecture of the album was crafted once again by French artist Julien Grelet. Commenting on this final piece of their visual trilogy, Lino adds: "Each album represents another step in humanity's evolution... From the very beginning, I didn't want the artwork to simply illustrate the songs. I wanted it to expand the universe of the album."

Tracklist:

1. Underworld

2. Kemper

3. We Are Not Alone

4. Drive Me To The Dawn

5. I Like To Comment

6. Shadows Of Despair

7. Virtual Prison

With Dyson, SPHERES successfully close their visual and thematic trilogy, offering a challenging yet deeply emotional journey through the massive structures of both human nature and the infinite universe.
