ART GATES RECORDS
Symphonic metal band The A.X.E Project are set to release their long-awaited new album, IV, on October 31st, 2025 via Art Gates Records.
The cover artwork, was created by the band’s female vocalist Tsveti Kirilova and the band explains to us what this artwork represents:
"The cover reflects the famous concept of Tree Of Life but in the digital age, depicted here are digital wires (veins) which "connect" the modern world. The background artwork is somehow vertically symmetric, suggesting that one can turn it upside-down. "
Here’s what the band reveals about the sonic direction of the new album:
"The sound of this album is more guitar-driven with "wall of sound" style rhythm guitars but also synth and keyboards heavy. The vocals are also rich in layers and harmonies but slightly in the back with a bit of old-school compression and drive. Composition-wise the songs are very diverse and I hope there's a track for almost every taste - from heavy electro-gothic riffs, through rock-ballads to progressive metal."

Recorded at President Studio in Sofia (Bulgaria) during 2023/24, with long-time collaborator Biser Veselinov handling engineering duties, having also worked on the band’s second studio album.
Mixed by Vladimir Bochev at Zero Project Studio, continuing his work from the band's two previous records. The mastering was carried out at The Mixtery by Raúl Abellán.
The album was produced by the band’s bassist and founding member Georgi Georgiev, who has served as producer for all of The A.X.E Project’s releases to date.
