GREY SKY BLEED RELEASE "THOUGHTS & PRAYERS"

28/10/2026

WHEN THE WORLD IS BURNING, WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH

GREY SKY BLEED release Thoughts & Prayers today via Art Gates Records, featuring Kärtsy Hatakka from Waltari. The new single offers another glimpse into the Finnish progressive/heavy metal band’s upcoming album, Only Dust You Are, out November 20th, 2026.

With Gabriel’s trumpet sounding over a world in flames, Thoughts & Prayers confronts the gulf between public gestures and meaningful action. Its lyrics challenge unchecked greed, hatred and environmental destruction, asking what happens when carefully curated appearances take priority over confronting reality.

The band explains the frustration behind the song:

“The world is burning and Gabriel is blowing his trumpet. Instead of taking actions to improve things, people seem to be more concerned with how their social media profiles look... Even Finnish calmness can’t stay under the shell in the face of this stupidity anymore. A song emerged from this frustration as if by itself.”

Following earlier singles Plague Mind, The Serpent With The Crown and We Share The End, inspired by Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road, Thoughts & Prayers brings another perspective to Only Dust You Are, turning its attention to the warning signs surrounding us today.
